Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent has been apart of a lot of controversy over the last year.
Brent seemed to be on his way to being a solid contributor for the Cowboys as a run-stopping defensive tackle. Then he was charged with intoxicated manslaughter in a car crash that killed teammate Jerry Brown and recently failed a second drug test while on probation.
At this point it would seem like Brent would have been released from the Cowboys but he is still a member of the team and according to Ed Werder some in the organization don’t understand why that is.

The NFL is expected to rule on Brent’s legal issues soon and there is a good chance that Brent will be suspended indefinitely until his legal issues are resolved but even after that it seems more and more likely that he will still be on the Cowboys roster when that happens.
But with the decisions Jerry Jones has been making lately, this just falls right in line.
