Ever since the Los Angeles Rams relocated back to Los Angeles, there has been an increased amount of interest in the team. With the Rams now on the upswing, that level of intriguing toward the organization has significantly risen.
One of the areas that have captured the fanbase’s attention is the uniforms that the team has chosen to wear during the season. According to Gary Klein of The LA Times, team COO Kevin Demoff has stated that the Rams are hoping to be able to wear their classic blue and yellow uniforms more often in the 2018 campaign:
“It was always with the idea that we’d be able to revisit it during the offseason when there’s more time to plan,” he said. “Hopefully, they recognize the challenge we have and appreciate the connection the fan base has to the blue and yellow.
“If we can avoid wearing our Navy jerseys next year, we will.”
The Rams had donned these uniforms twice last season as “Throwbacks,” but didn’t access to wearing them more often than that from the NFL. It is clear that this is attire that both the organization and fans admire greatly that is a homage back to the previous uniforms before they were changed early during their tenure in St. Louis. The team had first wore them starting back in 1973 on through 1999
What this underline is that the fans are anxious for the team to change their current uniforms to the anticipated ones that will be revealed once the Rams move into their new stadium in 2020. That said, Demoff did reveal that the organization has begun talking to Nike and will make an announcement concerning the new uniforms in the coming weeks.
If anything, it is clear that there is plenty of fan excitement and attention toward what lies ahead of the franchise.
