The Los Angeles Rams made their annual trip across the pond a good one with an impressive 33-0 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams were clicking on all cylinders and essentially dominated the Cardinals in every facet of the game.
The offense got off to a slow start to the game offensively before running back Todd Gurley got it going with a Marshall Faulk-esque 18-yard touchdown run. Los Angeles lit up the scoreboard in the second quarter and never looked back. He finished with 22 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown.
It is Gurley’s fourth 100-yard rushing effort over the last four games. Quarterback Jared Goff also played exceptionally well after completing 22 of his 37 passes for 235 yards and two total touchdowns on the day. He did an excellent job of spreading the wealth across eight receivers on the day.
Meanwhile, the defense churned out perhaps their most impressive performance since Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. After a suspect start to the 2017 NFL season, the defense recorded two interceptions and three sacks in an impressive shutout against a Cardinals unit that scored 38 points in Week 6.
The Rams continue to prove why they are a team to be reckoned with, especially when they can manage to play well as a unit. Los Angeles now enters the bye week after securing their first-place spot in the NFC West.
