The Los Angeles Rams suffered perhaps their most demoralizing loss since returning the Coliseum in Week 5. The Rams offense — which had been the best in the 2017 NFL season — suddenly looked like they did in 2016.
The staunch defense of the Seattle Seahawks even managed to neutralize running back Todd Gurley all afternoon. Despite his limited touches, Gurley feels he needs to do more with his opportunities, according to ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez:
Los Angeles could not get anything going on the ground early on and eventually wound up getting away from the run game. The young star finished the day with just 14 carries for 43 yards and two receptions for 7 yards. He seemingly capped off an impressive opening drive with a 12-yard touchdown, however, the play resulted in a touchback for Seattle and it all went downhill from there.
