Los Angeles Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald is a man of many talents. When Donald is not causing destruction out on the gridiron in the real world, he is doing it in the virtual world with EA Sports’ Madden NFL 17.
This was evident as Donald put his video game skills on display, beating Doug Baldwin in the final round of the Xbox Charity Challenge to raise $51,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation:

The Rams success against the Seahawks translated well to the video game world, both in part thanks to Donald. A lifelong Madden fanatic, Donald has enjoyed impressive wins over Ndamukong Suh and Greg Olsen in the matches leading up to the championship. He spoke with Deion Sanders on Twitch TV following the game about the opportunity to take part in this year’s tournament:
“I don’t think I’ve ever had this much fun playing Madden,” Donald said. “Doug was a fierce competitor tonight, but so thankful I was able to pull off a championship win and give back to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.”
Although the Rams have had a tough time entertaining audiences this season, Donald had no problem putting on a show in this matchup. At one point, the two-time Pro Bowler even managed to stuff Baldwin on the goal line in a situation that was eerily similar to Super Bowl XLIX.
Despite the team’s struggles, Donald has played lights out once again this season as he builds his case for Defensive Player of the Year honors. As great as a player he is, the move to Los Angeles has given him the chance to continue to make a difference off the field as well.
