It goes without saying that this has been an exemplary 2017 NFL season for the Los Angeles Rams. Part of the reason for their massive success has been the stellar play of star running back Todd Gurley.

Aside from being one the best running backs in the league, Gurley is arguably the prime candidate to take home this year’s NFL MVP award. However, the Rams announced on Twitter that he has already managed to take home one MVP honor:

The team’s vote should certainly come as no surprise considering his bid for the league MVP. It is indicative of how they feel about his candidacy for this year’s prestigious honor.

That said, Gurley will have to settle for the numbers he has produced through 15 games with head coach Sean McVay planning to rest the starters for playoffs. Fortunately, he will end his season as the league’s current leader in touchdowns, rushing yards, and receiving yards for running backs.

Veteran left tackle Andrew Whitworth was also awarded for his excellence both on and off the field. Aside from shoring up the protection for quarterback Jared Goff this year, he was also extremely active in the community. Many may remember when he bought 550 bikes for the children of Grape Street Elementary in Watts for his 36th birthday.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Cooper Kupp was also honored by the team as its best rookie this season. He currently leads both his team and all rookie receivers in yards (869) on 62 receptions.
