The Los Angeles Rams took care of business in Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season, cruising to a 37-19 road victory over the Philadelphia Eagles to improve to 2-0 on the year.

With back-to-back wins over NFC East opponents, the Rams are looking like a team that could be in the playoff mix in 2020 after missing it a year ago.

Unfortunately though, the Rams did lose some key players to injury as running backs Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown and starting left guard Joe Noteboom were all forced to leave the game.

Rams head coach Sean McVay gave updates on how they are doing on Monday, via Lindsey Thiry of ESPN:

Rams injury updates, per Sean McVay

RB Malcolm Brown has a fractured pinky that was fixed today, he'll be available to play Sunday.

RB Cam Akers separated some rib cartilage and will be day-to-day

LG Joe Noteboom has a calf strain, will be out Sunday. Possible IR candidate.

Brown and Akers split most of the running back duties in Week 1, but with them both out, the Rams turned to Darrell Henderson and he did not disappoint. The second-year back carried the ball 12 times for 81 yards and a touchdown, adding two receptions for 40 yards.

McVay has made it clear that the backfield will be a committee this season after Todd Gurley’s departure, and it is looking like neither Brown nor Akers will miss any time so they should all be available and splitting time in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills.

Noteboom’s calf injury looks to be the most serious of the bunch. If he is placed on injured reserve then that would require him to miss at least three games. David Edwards took over for him against the Eagles and played well so he likely will be the starter the next few weeks.

With so many big-name NFL players going down with significant injuries in Week 2, the Rams are lucky that their injuries all seem to be minor to this point.
