Rams’ Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey & Cooper Kupp Voted Top 100 Players In NFL Going Into 2020 Season

The NFL recently released their top 100 players list going into the 2020 season as voted on by the players, and three Los Angeles Rams players in Cooper Kupp (89), Jalen Ramsey (37) and Aaron Donald (3) all made the cut.

Kupp makes his debut on the list after a career season in 2019. In 16 games, Kupp posted career-highs across the board with 94 receptions to go along with 1,161 yards and 10 touchdowns.

While Kupp’s season was impressive on its own, it’s even more impressive considering it was his first season coming off a torn ACL. At just 27 years of age, it’s clear that Kupp has a bright future in the NFL and players across the league are taking notice.

Ramsey came in at No. 37, dropping 10 spots from where he was a year ago. In four NFL seasons, the cornerback has been named to three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro team.

The Rams acquired him in a blockbuster trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the middle of last season, and in nine games with L.A. he had 33 total tackles, four passes defensed, an interception and a forced fumble.

His presence alone deters quarterbacks from throwing his way, and he is expected to show off his versatility even more in the 2020 season.

There aren’t enough words to speak about how good Donald is, being named to six Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams in six seasons with the Rams while also winning two NFL Defensive Players of the Year awards.

He is coming off another outstanding season in 2019, recording 48 total tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Those numbers are actually down by his standards though, so while he was the top defensive player on the top 100 list, he dropped from the No. 1 overall spot to No. 3 behind Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson.

A trio of Rams players that were left off the list that could have received consideration were wide receiver Robert Woods, quarterback Jared Goff and offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth. The Rams’ offense is coming off an up-and-down year though, so it will be up to those guys to be more consistent in 2020 to get back on the list going into 2021.
